girl scouts tonight

Posted by: natalie on: May 10, 2008

I had a migraine earlier and didn’t finish sewing on the new patches for baby girl’s scout vest. She’s so sweet. She came to work with me today, I told her I wasn’t having a good day. I told her when we got home I still had some work to do, when we walked in the door she went into her room to turn on the tv. After I finished working, the migraine took over and I laid down on the couch. I could hear her in her room playing with her toys and listening to her tv. She didn’t come out and ask me for anything, not once. At some point I remember lifting my head up and asking her if I could have one of her blankets from her bed, because my big fat cat was laying on the couch throw. She walked over and covered me with it. When I got up, my headache was gone and I was in such a better mood, which inevitably lead to wrestling, which is probably her second favorite thing to do. So all in all, because I have the sweetest daughter ever, my bad day didn’t turn out so bad after all. Oh, and she drew me this cute picture to cheer me up. :P
Girl scouts was great tonight. The girls had such a good time making musical instruments like banjos, maracas and guitars. They got a break and rolled down the hill outside and later played a few games at the baseball field. I love watching my daughter connect in a big group of her peers. She’s been with the same girls for the past few years now and I think it’s great she’s building friendships she’ll carry with her for years to come.
